WHERE CHOCOLATE MEETS CONNECTION

Chocolate, in our opinion, is a call to slow down, tell stories, and create deep connections.

Meet Nettie Atkisson

Nettie’s interest in chocolate began with a lecture by Yale professor Michael Coe on its history. That moment sparked years of research, writing, and hands-on education. With a degree in early childhood education and extensive experience teaching adults, Nettie wrote two children’s books about chocolate that have sold over 2,000 copies worldwide. Her books can be found in chocolate shops across the globe.

She creates educational content, speaks at festivals, and led the children’s programming at Salon du Chocolat in New York City. Today, Nettie designs personalized chocolate tastings for organizations, corporations, and private groups. Her events focus on connection, learning, and the rich cultural history behind chocolate.

Our Mission

We’re here to turn simple moments into unforgettable ones using chocolate as our storyteller. At The Chocolate Connection, we offer immersive experiences that blend taste, tale, and togetherness. Through carefully curated tastings, rich storytelling, and meaningful conversation, we invite people to slow down, connect, and rediscover the joy of shared experiences. It’s not just about chocolate.
It’s about the laughter around the table, the memories sparked by flavor, and the connections that linger long after the last bite.

Our Vision

We aspire to create a world where chocolate is more than a treat. It’s a tool for connection, curiosity, and community. We envision a future where people of all ages and backgrounds come together through shared stories and sensory experiences, finding common ground in the simple joy of taste and togetherness. Whether in living rooms, boardrooms, or classrooms, we aim to inspire meaningful moments that nourish hearts as much as they delight the senses.
